Øssur johannesen was born 24 november 1970 in the village og Glyvrar in faroe islands he comes from a dysfunctional family there was a Lot og heavy Grief in the house øssurs grandfather died when hos father was only 5 years old there were several other tragedies in the family All øssurs mothers brothers and sisters died of alchoholism and cancer øssur hated School and was mobbed and prosecuted alot after School he worked in a fishing factory Calles bakkafrost he fell off a truck hit his head  he made drawings Cartoons as a child inspired by herge Tintin and Sølvpil later he painted landscapes portraits and people at age 14 he Saw a book off Edvard Munch who influenced him a great deal later øssur created a much darker more expressive Style with themes of lonelynes pain suffering longing Death tragedy and Grief as well as Angels demons religions motivs og Jesus buddah the Devil women sex musicians the ocean the moon the sun he has Also done a series og the trees during the for seasons and homeless people and refugees øssur had created a unique original Style were he mixes expessionism with symbolism and surealism øssur used ofte. Since age 15 øssur had suffered from bi  Polar manic depressive disease he was later diagnosen with schizofrenia he has spent time at lunatic asylums he had Been through hard times Also Been homeless he was addicted to alkohol and drugs for Many years but now hes sober and a vegetarian øssur is Also a poet had released two books og poetry in faroese language he has Also translated danish poets to faroe language and has Also Been a music critic and has written a lot about artists øssur is Also a virtuoso guitarist and has started to sing om hos latest CD to poems off Regin Dahl and Alexander Kristiansen øssur is a very Underrated overlooked and neglected multi artist he lives in Copenhagen øssur has and order sister and brother and they are bout very musically active.
